Cute Cafes

This weekend, we decided to discover a few cafes in our neighbourhood.

Toby's Estate
We usually have a few favs, and religiously visit those, but we have been wanting to switch things up a bit, so drove around looking for places to eat and grab a good cuppa.

How we finalise on an eat out is by looking at its menu. Weekends are for brunches, so cafes with a good selection of main dishes grabs out attention.
This weekend we found three that tickled our taste buds. Apart from the fact that they were super cute and the staff was amazing, they served some inventive dishes.
First one is Cafe63; a Black and White stripes themed cafe, next to the park with lots of street parking and amazing staff.

I tried their pumpkin soup and pancakes on two different occasions and they were quite filling and yummy.

The second one is my fav called Outer Space, its a bar in the evening and a daytime cafe.
Its in the cutest spot with the most relaxed interiors.

Its impressive how they have incorporated the surroundings into their cafe to make it look stylish and rustic at the same time.
I ordered the haloumi salad, which is my absolute fav.
This is what I wore, I am into plaid shirts and ripped jeans these days, and denim jackets have been my all time fav since forever.

Last but definitely not the least is GP Cafe in the Tamborine mountains
As always we have a few favs there, and have passed this cafe a few times, but this weekend we decided to pop in as it was too cute to not go in :)

Mr N had a lovely chicken pie, while I enjoyed my long black.
All in all, we had a relaxing weekend with some artisan coffee and gourmet food, which is always a good sign.

I always think that people who love to eat and drink are the happiest, which makes them the bestest :)
How did you spend your weekend?
Hope you had a good start to your week.

Whats in my bathroom cabinet!

I thought I would show you the products I use daily after shower to get ready for the day, along with what I like to keep on my wash basin.
I love cute decor stuff, but I dont like to buy a lot of junk to decorate, so I re-use what ever I have at home. Like the little green rose came as a wrapping and the glass jar is an empty bottle which had some product previously.
These are the only products I use on a day to day basis, if you would like a detailed post on any of the products shown below and how they work please let me know.

Full view of the cabinet and wash basin

Products I use daily after shower #bananaboat #sunscreen, #pondswhitening #daycream #night cream, #teatree #deodrant, #bedhead #tigi and last but not least my #tangleteezer which is a life changer for hair
I use the #zoellacandycream at night before going to bed as I love how it smells.

I hope you like this post.
Have a good weekend.

Night Time and Me!

There is something about the dark that brings me happiness. After hours is when I am most relaxed, refreshed and just happy with my life. After everyone is asleep, I love to stay up and watch some YouTube or read, or shop online or do some work. I just love staying up late at night, hence why I am writing this at this hour :).
Taking Life One Sip At A Time
I think there are a few people out there who are like me, and I think the reason why we enjoy the quiet and dark is, it is an uninterrupted time for your thoughts, actions and just your presence.
I also think I might be closely related to vampires or unicorns, who like to come out late at night, or may be I am like the Luwak who has a lot of similar characteristics to me- they sleep all day, eat the best coffee seeds (or in my case drink the best-strongest coffee) and roam around in the forest at night, taking care of business and being productive..lol..
Luwak Coffee
Or may be I am like celebrities and film stars, who also prefer the dark, as they can be anonymous and avoid the crowd. I guess its more to do with that, I like my own space and I like it uninterrupted. I am a peoples person, but I dont like too many people, however I will get along or pretend to get along with everyone if its for a few hours. Long-term relationships & friendships are really hard for me to build, and the biggest factor that keeps me from making real friends is "trust". I just see through people right away, it might be my over thinking or analysing nature, but I cant help it. I can judge people, and I just keep getting better at it as I grow.
My intuition is very strong and it guides me a lot, although at times you want to believe your heart/brain is lying and the person is really what they pretend to be, but in a few days I see their true side and go back into my shell and my guard is up.
So if any of you are like me or are struggling to understand youself, dont worry, you dont owe any one explanation about who you are are or why you are a certain way. Do what makes you happy, try to make a few people around you happy who really matter to you, and the rest can just be noise that you can switch on and off as you please.
On that note I will call it a night and talk to you soon.

Relaxed long weekend & our favourite nuts

We just had a long weekend and we (Mr N & I), went to our fav little hill station in the Gold Coast hinterlands, called Tamborine Mountains.

We first discovered this locale accidentally, when we were driving back from the Coast to Brisbane and it was our first road trip in Aust
ralia, so of course we "re-routed" quite a few times, but every time we took a wrong turn, we ended up discovering a new location, kinda like all those great explorers eh, who always landed up at the wrong place and made the most of it..lol.

Anyways.....I have never been to Europe, so my idea of how Europe might be comes from Tamborine Mountains. The temperature is always a few degrees lower than the city, it gets cold and misty and absolutely romantic in winters, and it reminds me of the hill stations in India (minus the pollution & population haha). It has everything a girl needs, shopping for cute antiques, chocolate & coffee heaven and last but not the least wineries.

Yesterday was no different, here are some pictures that might help you envision this, not so famous tourist attraction.

The clouds just covered the city view- you can see Gold Coast sky line from here

Frosty Winery

Here is what I wore
Esprit Sweatshirt Top/ Black Leggings/ Tan Faux Leather Shoes
Fossil Mint Green Bag/ Blue Scarf with Sequin from Jacqui
And as you can see it was foggy, misty and yet sunny. Just the right amount of cold to enjoy some coffee and macadamia nuts from this Fudge Heaven
They are our fav and the lady at the shop said she cant make enough of these, they are always running low as they are very popular.
Other than that it was a very chill weekend, we watched a few movies and ate (a lot) and pretty much got re-energised for the work week ahead.

Hope you all had a nice relaxing weekend and a good start to your week.
