Road trip - Coffs Harbour- Sydney- Huner Valley
This was our second road trip to Sydney and it was just as pleasant and beautiful as before. The minute you enter New South Wales (NSW) you are surrounded by hectares of fields and farm lands. What I enjoy most about the drive, other than of course driving on Pacific motorway, are the many cute theme cafés and shops all the way. You have Yatala pies ( authentic Australian pies), avocado place, macadamia castle, organic plantations cafe, tea tree plantation, big banana...all these places sell products made fresh from the plantations next door. It cannot get more organic and gourmet than this :).These are the ones we have explored but there a plenty more like Rose farms, Strawberry farms etcI am not a big fan of the pies, but definitely recommend all the other places for a unique experience.
After refueling with an awesome iced cafe and some ice-cream we stayed at Coffs Harbour for the night.
Dinner was from Tandoori Oven a lovely restaurant on Harbour St, not too far from the Windmill Comfort Inn.Coffs brings back all the World Rally Championship (WRC) memories from 2011. This is where we shook hands, hugged, took photos and watched the 8 time WRC champ Sebastian Loeb win this 7th title.
I love Coffs a very unique town, with lots of Indian settlement. Most of the banana plantations are owned by early settlers from Punjab. You will also find a few famous gurdwaras here. It was of course very cold, so make sure you bundle up well and drive around safely as the roads are confusing as hell.

Day 2 Enroute Sydney/6th Wedding Anniversary
Started our journey from Coffs to Sydney 520 kms. You come across large sugar crane farms, sugar refineries and plants. Its absolutely gorgeous, but be careful if driving at night as there are a lot of kangaroos/wallabies on the road. Taj Blue Sydney had champagne and chocolates waiting for us when we arrived and after a relaxed evening we went partying. We wanted a Hindi/Bollywood party, and Sydney/Melbourne have lot of these.
We went to one hosted by Silsila, had a few shots, danced a lot and had a great time. I just wore a pair of jeans, boots and an off the shoulder sweatshirt as it was freezing.

Day 4 Enroute Hunter Valley
With a heavy heart we said farewell to Sydney & Taj Blue (it was also the last time it was owned by Taj, as the management was going to change soon) and on wards we went to Hunter Valley, to celebrate my birthday.
After we checked into the Chateau Elan and lit the very fancy fire place in our villa :), I organised all my dresses and toiletries in my room and changed into a nicer outfit for some drinks and sight seeing.
We were of course welcomed with a bottle of champagne and some chocolates in honor of my Bday, which is always a lovely welcome gift.

We had Oysters & Chocolate with Champagne for lunch. Please try this place, there's no missing out on this wonderful treat. Did a bit of shopping at the original Alpaca store, where the products were imported from Peru. I love Alpaca wool, its so warm and soft.
